Introduction – The Drag Mini Kit by VooPoo

The Voopoo Drag Mini is a powerful 117w internal battery mod that is topped off with the excellent stock coil sub ohm tank UForce T2.

VooPoo based in China, was originally established in 2014 to serve the medical and industrial fields, since 2017 and with the acquisition of US brand WoodyVapes, some of their gear includes, Alpha One, Too, Drag, VMate 200w and of course the latest Voopoo Drag 2 reviewed recently.

VooPoo are known for their Gene Chip which is one of the fastest and most accurate chipsets on the market, the version of the Gene chip included in the Drag Mini is the same version they used in the Drag 2 they call the FIT.

So what do we think of the Drag Mini? Let’s take a closer look and find out…………………..

Design and Build Quality

The VooPoo Drag Mini Kit comes well presented in a card box with an over sleeve, the spares are the standard quality and quantity expected from VooPoo.

Drag Mini

Like the Drag 2, the Mini is a beautifully smooth looking mod that is made of zinc alloy with a colourful resin plate on one side. it stands 81.5mm tall 48.5mm wide with a depth of 25.5mm, the back of the Drag Mini has the now famous “DRAG” printed in the overly large font, inside the case is the hidden the integrated 4400mAh Internal battery. The work face of the device has the expected fire/adjustment buttons made of stainless steel, a micro usb point for charging and updates (available at Voopoo support centre).

The Oled screen displays all the normal info you would expect from this type of device, the screen measure approx 25x11mm and is flush to the body of the mod. Each edge of the mod has been chamfered like the Drag 2 making the Mini very comfortable to hold.

The bottom of the Drag Mini has 4 tiny battery vent holes along with branding and safety marks as well as a pin reset button. The top of the mod holds the connection point which is a centre 510.The 510 plate is slightly raised and made of SS, with channels for those that use tanks with 510 fed AF; the SS threading is well turned and has a gold plated spring loaded pin.

The Drag Mini is more palm friendly than either of its predecessors. Overall construction quality and design of the Drag Mini is excellent.

UForce T2 Tank

A well constructed heavy tank, the quality is good and the design is well done. We have previously fully reviewed the UForce T2 tank alongside the Drag 2! The tank has a diameter of 28mm and is made from a stainless steel construction with Pyrex and resin. The tank dismantles into 5 parts including the coil for easy cleaning. The tank utilises top filling.Plus bottom tri airflow. The only change VooPoo have made to this tank compared to the one that comes with the Drag 2 is the coils that come with it.

Pre installed is the P2 coil which is a 0.6Ω single mesh coil, best fired between 24 and 28w the spare N1 mesh coil is 0.13Ω, 50 to 100W, best fired between 70W to 80W. FYI both coils are kanthal.

All UForce coils are compatible with this tank – U2,U4,U6,U8,N1.N2,N3,R1,D4,P2 however the P2 is not compatible with the TPD version because of the 2ml glass sizing. VooPoo have also a range of additional glass sizes available for purchase separately 2ml (TPD) 3.5ml, 5ml, 5.5ml and 8ml.

A Basic Guide to Getting Started

UForce T2

• Choose which coil suits you best and screw into the base, pre wick the coil by dropping a few drops of liquid into the coil.
• Choose which glass you wish to use.
• Reassemble the tank, and fill with E-Liquid.
• Leave the tank to one side so the coil can soak up more liquid.

Tip: each coil has a min line, don’t vape below this line or your coil might burn out quickly.

Drag Mini

• Insure your Drag Mini is fully charged before using it for the first time.
• Screw on your T2 tank.
• Enjoy your new VooPoo Drag Mini kit.

Basic mod operation

• 5 quick clicks to turn on and off
• x3 clicks for the fit menu (more about that later)
• x3 clicks for TC wire selection and x1 to enter TC
• x3 to get back to Power
• Hold both adjustment buttons for the menu system in both TC and Power
• Press fire and up buttons to lock/unlock the device
• Fire and down button will flip the screen

How Does The Voopoo Drag Mini Kit Perform?

For this review I have filled the UForce T2 tank with the Black Vine by The Rochford Project and I will be using the pre installed P2 coil.

15w

Using mouth to lung style vape with the airflow almost closed, I experienced a tight cool vape the vapour production was acceptable and the flavour was very good.

24 to 28w

Opening the AF up to half, and setting the unit at 24 and then 28w with a MTL style vape I found that the draw was smooth but on the looser side, the vapour production was fairly dense with a very good flavour.

30w

At 30w I was able to get a restricted direct to lung hit, again the flavour was very good, the vapour production was good enough for me with the AF set to just under ¾ open.

Battery Life

Using the Drag Mini with the P2 coil installed in the UForce T2 at 25w I found that the battery life was excellent I averaged 5 ½ to 6 hrs.

Using my Drop Dead RDA I was able to pump up the wattage but obviously found that the higher the watts I used the quicker the battery would ebb!

I have figured for me personally, setting the Drag Mini to 50w with dual Kanthal 0.12Ω coils and DTL I can expect approx 3hrs vape time, which while not brilliant sure out beats a lot of the internal battery mods on the market.

Menu Options

The menu is basically the same as the original Drag; giving you TC, Power and TCR memory options! Overall the menu system is simple to use, the Drag Mini like the Drag 2 has an extra menu called “FIT” with 3 options to it

1. Battery saving
2. Best flavour
3. Best cloud production

Personally I like to think of them as soft, medium, and high!

According to VooPoo the FIT menu is best suited to stock coil tanks and in particular UForce tanks, I can confirm that the FIT menu does function as stated.

I used 3 different UForce coils in the tank and the system seems to be intelligent and matches different coils to different wattages! Personally speaking I like to stay to power mode as I can fine tune the wattage to my taste.

Final Review Verdict

I have to give VooPoo credit where credit is due!

The Drag Mini has left me speechless; I am hard pressed to find anything to moan about lol.

This little beast is capable of producing an extraordinary amount of vapour and flavour with the right coil in the “T2”!

I don’t use mods that have internal batteries often because of the frustration of running out of power after just a couple of hours but this device can also outlast similar sized box mods with an integrated battery. The form factor of the device also makes for a nice, comfortable palm full.

Essentially what VooPoo have done here with the Drag Mini is to take the Drag 2 shrink the case a little and bung in a an internal battery, while still leaving us with the full capability of the Drag 2 and the Gene “FIT” Chipset, they have even given you the same exact tank “T2” to complete the kit, while a very good tank I’d like to have seen something slightly different for this one.

Would I buy the Voopoo Drag Mini again if lost or damaged? While I like the Drag Mini and comparing it to my Drag 2 I’d have to say “No” its so similar to the Drag 2, apart from the internal battery I can’t say I would miss it.

The Rune RDA By Voopoo Previewed

The Voopoo Rune RDA is marketed as being “Epic Cloud Domination” – hehehehe – very modest there Voopoo!

The Rune RDA is designed to have a very open build deck in order to increase the juice well size. 

This is a 24.6 mm diameter RDA and is suitable for dual coil builds.

The coil legs fit into the upstanding posts and the screws are accessed from the side.

The kit includes a solid 510 connector pin to use this as an RDA but there is also a hollow bottom feed 510 connector pin so you can use this on a squonk mod. The squonking design is so that it kind of squirts the liquid to the side of the pin which supposedly prevents the over squonking of liquid.

An adjustable airflow system is used – the intakes are on the side of the barrel and these feed the outlets below the coils.

Rotate the barrel to adjust the amount of air coming into the RDA. The barrel also has a stop system which apparently “keeps the spinning angle in control, thus avoid disorderly spinning back”. Yes the Voopoo website translations are really hard work!

Included in the kit is a matching resin 810 drip tip but there is also a 510 drip tip adaptor so you can change this.

Apart from the Silver version – the other colours have a colourful band of graphics on the top cap. I think the Rainbow in particular carries this off well!

There are 6 colours available – Rainbow, Gold, Black, Silver/Black, Silver, Silver/Blue.

The Voopoo Rune RDA looks to be a nice capacity for dripping and Squonking.

Price wise this is very reasonable however I am only seeing Pre-order deals at the moment.

The X217 Mod By Woody Vapes Previewed

The Woody Vapes X217 mod is a new release from a company who are now part of the Voopoo brand.

As a result of Voopoo buying into Woody Vapes the Voopoo GENE chips are now installed in the Woody Vapes new mods.

So with the super fast firing (0.01 second!) GENE.FAN chip installed the X217 can output up to 217W. GENE.FAN chips were also used on the original Drag mod and the Voopoo Too.

The mod is versatile in the batteries it can use and is compatible with either 20700, 21700 or 18650 batteries. In fact the kit includes 2 of Voopoo’s own brand 21700 batteries.

The striking feature of the mod is the LED light display which apparently has a mode which reacts to you inhaling. The longer you inhale the faster the light flashing frequency will be. There are 7 colour lights to choose from.

Woody Vapes usually create individual wood finish mods such as the S3 TC Mod. Well even though there is no wood on the X217 apparently the sand blast finish goes through 15 steps and the whole mod is made of 7 materials.

On the front of the mod there is a 1.3in colour TFT HD screen and using that you can choose from Variable Wattage, Variable Voltage, Temperature Control and Custom user modes.

Previous Woody Vapes gear has been at the pricier end of the scale – but the one vendor showing this as pre-order show the price to be pretty decent so far!

The Rota By Voopoo Previewed

The Voopoo Rota is a fidget spinner Pod mod… Oh dear my “Gimmick Alarm” is going off…

I suppose the fidget spinner might be useful to people giving up the ciggies and gives your hands something else to do. Basically you hold onto the rotating part of the device and spin the rest – here is a video to show you more…

As usual with pod mods they are low powered easy to use devices and the Rota ticks all those boxes.

Inside the body is a 340mAh battery which is pretty average for most pod mods. As you will be using this with either high nicotine or nicotine salt e-liquid you won’t be needing a huge battery.

The device outputs between 6-10W and this power heats up the 1.5ohm coil that lives inside the pod.

The pod is where the e-liquid lives too and you can refill this with your own choice of e-liquid and it will hold 1.8ml. Simply pull out the pod remove the filling plug and fill up.

When the coil life is past its best there is no fiddling about to change the coil – you dispose of the pod and put a new one in!

There are 5 colours available – Black, Pewter, Green, Blue and Red. However some vendors are showing additional colours to those confirmed on the Voopoo website.

Introduction – The X217 from VooPoo / Woody Vapes

The VooPoo X217 is a powerful 217w regulated mod that runs of your choice of dual batteries (21700, 20700 or 18650). It’s a heavy sucker that looks good.

VooPoo are based in China and were originally established in 2014 to serve the medical and industrials fields. Since 2017 and with the acquisition of US brand Woody Vapes, VooPoo have bought us some really interesting gear including: Drag, Drag 2, Drag mini, Voopoo Too, VMate and the funny little Rota Pod System.

VooPoo are known for their Gene Chip, which is one of the fastest and most accurate chipsets on the market! They have included the latest version of their Gene Chip inside the X217, the “Gene FIT” which is also found in both the new Drag mods minus the annoying fit menu!

So what do we make of the Voopoo X217? Is it really as good as it looks? Let’s dive down and take a detailed look at it.

Design and Build Quality

The Voopoo X217 comes in the normal card box with over sleeve, I almost wet myself in excitement on opening the box; this thing is super sexy to look at, nothing like the graphic on the box!

The X217 is heavy, made of a moulded zinc alloy, resin and leather. The device has a height of 93mm with a tank diameter of over 30mm, so far the design and build quality in my opinion is exemplary!

Taking a tour of the Voopoo X217

Starting at the top the 510 connection is centre placed with a spring loaded gold plated pin and extremely well turned threading. The 510 plate and the mod top are held in position by 4 hatch screws!

The bottom of the device holds the battery door. The door has all the normal manufacturing and safety marks, the door is opened by a simple slide switch which incorporates 4 very small battery vent holes.The door itself is hinged and stays open until you push is shut, the inside of the door has battery orientation marks (hard to make out in low light) and gold plated connection points.The battery compartment is lined with plastic and has spring loaded gold plated connection points inside.

The back of the X217 has a thin strip of resin with “VooPoo” branding.Each side of the device features leatherette stickers that have a stitch like pattern and a decorative bar that is held on to the mod by hatch screws.

The work face is elegantly simple with the centre fire button having a resin inlay.The SS adjustment buttons are in the form of a bar shaped roughly like a flat diamond, the micro USB charge/update port is located at the bottom of the work face along with the Woody Vapes logo.

The HD colour screen is 1.3in TFT; it has a clean and sharp look making it very easy on the eye, the screen contains all the normal info you would expect to see!

One of the features immediately apparent is LED strips surrounding the work face shaped roughly like a U. When lit the LED’s simulate a breathing pulse.

Basic Quick Start Guide

• Choose which of the 3 types of battery you wish to use, and put them into the X217 following the indicators! If you use 18650’s use the adaptors included in the box!

Important do not mix battery types!

It is recommended you charge your batteries with a standalone charger.

• Prepare your tank/RTA or RDA the way you normally would, and screw onto the X217.

The mod includes 8 Security Protections for safer vaping!

Menu and functions

Navigating the menus of the X217 is simple and straightforward:

• 5 clicks of the fire button to turn the mod on or off
• 3 clicks to cycle through to the next mode (3 modes total: Power, TC, and Functions)
• When in a mode, hold both adjustment buttons together to enter that mode’s menu
• + and fire to lock the mod (complete lock) repeat to unlock

How Does the VooPoo X217 Mod Perform?

For this review I will be using my Freemax MeshPro Tank with a 0.2Ohm Kanthal double mesh coil top up with Double Drip Strawberry Banana Waffle e-liquid. I will be testing the TC capabilities with my Drop Dead RDA with SS 0.12Ω and the same e-liquid.

60 to 90w

I started at my normal 60w for this tank but soon came to realise that while getting fairly good flavour the combo was producing humongous amount of vapour with the AF closed to half the vape was a bit on the cool side.

Upping the wattage to 70W then to 80w was better. Topping off at 90w gave a nice warm vape again with a tremendous amount of vapour and satisfying flavour.

95 to 120w

Using my Drop Dead I tested the mod in increments of 10w from 95 to 120w; while well out of my comfort zone the mod performed admirably.

Ohms meter

I have noticed the Ohms meter is slightly off reading my SS 0.12Ω coils as 0.13Ω and my stock coil at 0.21Ω not a big one but worth mentioning.

TC Dry and Damp Tests

I dry fired the cotton at 420f and 50w for less than a second press of the fire button (x5) as you can see there is some faint yellowing of the cotton.

For the damp test with fresh cotton I loaded the cotton with liquid and tooted until I felt it was dry; this was a pass as there were no burn marks on the cotton.

Battery Life

Vaping the Voopoo X217 at 90w with dual 21700 batteries installed I can get approx 1½ days vape time which is phenomenal for me, dual 20700 batteries I can get nearly a full day and dual 18650 batteries I get over 5 hrs.

The 20700 batteries I noticed did cause a little battery rattle the other were held firmly in the mod.

LED Lights

These are nice and bright but to me they are distracting with their pulse or breathing, as VooPoo call it. I tend to keep the lights off.

Clock

At first I thought it was a little pointless to have a clock; but found myself looking at it quite often for the time lol, if you leave the unit alone for 25 to 30 seconds the clock activates! I had been using the X217 for over a day before I realised you could change the style of the clock by pressing the adjustment buttons lol.

Fire Button

Is a little awkward to locate without looking, at times I thought the mod had misfired, but in reality I just didn’t push the button lol.

Oops

After all my testing was done I went to remove the cap from my Drop Dead RDA! The result was me pulling the top of the mod off; I did not use any force as my DD cap is easy to remove!

The top did not come off completely as you can see it’s still attached by the wires to the 510, the screws, screw into plastic; and therefore the bite is not secure. The X217 still works fine; I will have to get some superglue to repair it before I will even think of using the mod again!

Final Review Verdict

Ignoring the damage I caused to mine for now, the Voopoo X217 is a very heavy mod even without the cells loaded. The device is gorgeous to look at and certainly doesn’t look anything like the graphic on the box! It’s easy to use and while the menu system is different from other VooPoo products it doesn’t take long to learn.

If you buy this mod I recommend not using an RDA due to stress of pulling the cap off to re juice, use a stock sub ohm tank or an RTA with it. That way no stress is placed on the top and the screws, VooPoo need to redesign how the top is attached to the body; or I predict a lot of complaints with this one!

Would I buy the Voopoo X217 again? While I like 99% of VooPoo products I’ve got to say “No” with this one.

The VooPoo Rota essentially is a mouth to lung pod vaping device but masquerading as a fidget spinner!

VooPoo is based in China and established in 2014 to serve the medical and industrials fields, since 2017 they have bought us some decent gear including: Drag, Drag2, Drag mini, Too mod, VMate and the X-217 mod we reviewed not long ago!

Personally I think VooPoo have lost the plot with the Rota it’s so last year! What do you think? Let’s go and take a good unbiased look at it, before giving you my true feelings about this one!

Design and Build Quality

The Rota comes in a card box with over sleeve and a plastic inlay tray to hold the Rota body, pod and micro USB cable.

The body is made of Zinc Alloy and the pod is made of PCTG PlasticThe kit as a whole seems to be designed well with a good quality build.

The pod

The pod is made of PCTG Plastic and is a dark gray in colour but transparent enough to keep an eye on the liquid level. PCTG has a high toughness and temperature quality to it, which I guess is good if the kit is to be used not only as a vape product but as a fidget spinner.Weighing approx 4.3g empty, the pod has a 1.5Ω coil in it that is suitable Mouth to Lun (MTL) vaping for both salt nicotine and standard nicotine e-liquid products. Filling takes place on the bottom of the pod the fill port is plugged by a silicone bung that is attached to the pod.There are 2 gold plated contact point separated by the airflow valve.The pod holds 1.5ml of liquid and can be refilled. The mouthpiece has a small slot which is idea for mouth to lung vaping.The pod fits into the battery body and is held by press fit with no movement, in fact it can be a little difficult to remove the pod once in place!

My opinion is the pod is of good design with quality and toughness.

The Battery

The Rota is made of moulded zinc alloy as you can see mine is the light gray coloured version, if you look carefully on one side you have an AF slot! The advertising is minimal with just “VooPoo” printed one side The device has a small battery light (which lights blue in use and blue while charging) but no safety markings.  The bottom edge of the Rota has a micro USB charge point.The spinner portion of the device moves freely in the body and has a windmill type design printed on it.

Internally the Voopoo Rota has a 340mAh battery which is about standard for a device of this size, which with the pod attached is 79mm by 37mm with a depth of just 14mm.

The battery casing feels very solid in the hand and weighs (without the pod) approx 58.7g, the design of this device is ok and the quality is good.

Quick Start Guide

• Open the plug on the bottom of the pod to reveal the fill port
• Fill the pod with e-liquid, I suggest a needle nose bottle and make sure to re plug the port
• Place the pod into the battery

Tip: Leave your new Rota pod system for 10 minutes before first use so the coil/cotton can soak.

There are no buttons to push with the Rota the vape is auto activated by sucking on the mouth piece.

To use the device as a fidget spinner hold the Rota between your finger and thumb an spin it LOL

How Does The VooPoo Rota Pod System Perform?

For this example I have filled the VooPoo Rota with Coffee House “Coconut Cappuccino” with 18mg nicotine.

As a Vape

The Rota is most defiantly a MTL device, and for those that like that, that’s great, for me the draw is too much on the tight side, it’s almost like sucking a very thick milkshake through a very narrow straw LOL.

The resulting flavour is however very good and is quite intense, the vapour production is acceptable for a MTL device.

I recommend that you use either a 50/50 or 70/30 liquid with a high based nicotine or even a high Salt Nic liquid for a stronger throat hit and quicker nic hit.

I have had no leaks from the Rota pod in the time I have been testing.

The device has a 340mAh battery, the power output is between 6 and 10w and can last quite a long time. I managed approx 6 hrs from full charge!

The design of the zinc alloy body is very good it has a solid heavy feel to it again which is great as you won’t drop it without noticing LOL.

Fidget Spinners

The predecessor of the spinning toy has been around since the early 90’s and simulated that of a spinning windmill, the fidget spinner really took off in its latest incarnation in 2017 and has become very popular, these days they come in different balance shapes and wacky colours.

There are claims that a fidget spinner can help calm down people who have anxiety(as a stress release toy) or for other neurological disorders such as ADHD and Autism, there is no scientific evidence at this time that they are effective as a treatment for ADHD, but speaking as a parent of a child with mild autism we find fidget spinners are a great way to keep said child entertained.

My boy is pretty good too, he can do all sorts of tricks with his that I can’t repeat no matter how hard I try LOL.

The Voopoo Rota as a Fidget Spinner

While the Rota does act somewhat like a fidget spinner, the Rota battery is too heavy one end and sends the spinner out of balance. It shakes and wobbles while spinning between finger and thumb and you can’t change fingers or spin on one finger like a normal spinner as the thing will just take off LOL.

Spinning on a table, a normal fidget spinner will spin in place because the balance is even, the Rota will take a trip around your table!

Which brings me to why did VooPoo design a pod system that can double as a fidget spinner?

Personally I just think it’s a money making gimmick, yes I can see some using it as a fidget spinner while trying to give up the stinkies to keep their fingers busy!

If they had bought this out maybe a year ago it might have been popular but for now I’m not so sure! However I can see the US government jumping on this as proof that youngsters are vaping and maybe use it as yet another tool to prove that vaping is bad for our youth!

Final Review Verdict

I will give VooPoo credit for trying something that hasn’t been seen before; it works ok as a pod system, but somewhat flaky as a spinner. However, I would feel amiss and somewhat guilty if I didn’t give my honest opinion and say this kit is just a silly gimmick to increase sales with no true thought for child safety!

Safety in my house and with my child is paramount, he has a fascination with fidget spinners and with things of bright colour; he is always putting things in his mouth (yes even given his age), if he knew I’d got this kit he’d be after it!

So with that in mind as soon as this review is complete the Rota will be put under lock and key and only used when he is not around.

Would I buy the Voopoo Rota Pod System should this one be lost or destroyed? Nope!

The Finic Fish By Voopoo Previewed

The Voopoo Finic Fish is a new pod mod device from Voopoo. The Finic range has two other new releases the Finic 16 AIO and the Finic 20 AIO.

Yes this is pretty odd looking but the name does fit the shape doesn’t it! It reminds me of some sort of exotic flat fish!

I did try to search for the word “Finic” to see what that means but sadly no joy!

Inside this little mod is a smaller version of the well loved GENE chip found in the larger Voopoo mods such as the Drag 2 and X217. The GENE.Pod chip apparently controls the voltage output.

The battery part of the device has a 350mAh capacity which is around average for most pod mods nowadays. These are low output devices, used with high nicotine or nic salt e-liquid so the battery can be smaller.

Also the body houses the LED indicator light which informs you of the battery capacity remaining.

The liquid and heating element live in the removable tank – which is called a “Pod”.

Inside the pod is a 1.6ohm coil which should give a good vape with the mod outputting 7-12W. I am not sure if the coil is replaceable or if you discard the whole pod when the coil is past its best.

You can refill the pod with your own e-liquid using the filling port on the side. The pod will hold up to 1.7ml of liquid.

There are 6 colours to choose from – Footsteps, Quama, Cross, White, Blue and Dark Grey.

The Finic 20 AIO By Voopoo Previewed

The Voopoo Finic 20 AIO is an All In One (AIO) intermediate style vape pen kit.

This is slightly more than a basic starter kit as it has a few options of coil types – I will explain more!

There are two basic styles of vaping DTL (Direct to Lung) and MTL (Mouth to Lung). DTL is for big clouds and Sub Ohm coils and liquid. MTL is more of a throat hit and similar to smoking. You use higher nicotine or nic salt e-liquid for MTL kits.

We tell you all about the terms MTL and DTL in our Guide to Vaping styles.

Anyway the Finic 20 AIO can apparently cater to both styles by swapping between the included coils.

The MTL coil (YC-R2) is 1.2ohms and runs best between 8-12W. The DTL coil (YC-R1) is 0.6ohm and best between 12-25W.

The main part of the device is the battery which has a 1500mAh capacity and outputs between 6-22W.

There is an LED indicator which informs you of the battery charge remaining.

To refill you remove the top cap which also has a child safety lock. The e-liquid capacity is 2ml.

This is an All In One device so the tank and battery cannot be separated and are only to be used together.

There are 6 colours to choose from – Siren, Electric Shock, Toxic, Black, Silver and Rainbow.

The MAAT Tank By Voopoo Previewed

The Voopoo MAAT Tank is a new Sub Ohm stock coil tank release from Voopoo.

The initials “MAAT” stand for “Middle Adjustable Airflow Tank”.

Most sub ohm tanks have a bottom adjustable airflow inlet. Sometimes you can get leaks through this airflow so a lot of designers have been trying to get away from this design. Rebuildables such as the Geekvape Zeus X RTA have a top airflow inlet which they claim is “Leakproof”.

However top airflow inlets can be very hit and miss and do not always give the best flavour – there are some exceptions though!

So to move on the airflow inlet debate Voopoo have designed a middle airflow system. Which in theory should work well as the coils are usually in the middle of the tank! However in this design the airflow does come in the sides but is channelled up through the base as well?

The kit includes 2 mesh coils heads a single M1 0.13ohm coil and a dual M2 0.2ohm coil. The coils have a push in and pull out system to make installation easier.

Another weird design feature is a kind of “reserve reservoir” in the tank. Basically this is a hidden reserve of e-liquid in the tank – when you think it is empty there is still a small amount hidden in here. This is apparently designed to help prevent dry hits. I do think you will start to rely on it – like you do when the petrol light comes on in the car!

To refill there is a slide top fill cap and depending on variant it can have a locking button.

There are 3 colours to choose from – Stainless Steel, Black and Rainbow.

The Drag Nano Pod Kit By Voopoo Previewed

The Voopoo Drag Nano Pod Kit is a new funky addition to the successful Drag range.

The Voopoo Drag range including the Original Drag, Drag 2 and Drag Mini have a lot of fans and it is mostly down to the great GENE chip used to control them.

This tiny version has a scaled down GENE chip called the GENE.POD to control the output and should give a nice quick fire speed too.

Also this has “Cold Boot Mode” which is a quick to full power output which will apparently increase flavour output.

Inside the battery unit is a 750mAh battery which Voopoo claim is good for 350 puffs on one charge. Plus charging at high rate means this will charge in just an hour.

The battery unit has the familiar Drag styling and resin panels and the addition of a hook and chain so you can wear this like a necklace – if that is your thing.

You also get a battery indicator light which changes colour according to the battery capacity remaining.

The pod is the tank which holds your own e-liquid and the heating element.

The pod will hold 1ml of liquid and has a 1.8ohm coil installed. So this device is ideal for high nicotine and nicotine salt e-liquid to give you a good throat and nic hit at lower power.

There are 7 colours to choose from – Klein Blue, Tidal, Ceylon Yellow, Fiesta, Ink, Aurora and Nebulas Blue.

The Find S Kit By Voopoo Previewed

The Voopoo Find S Kit includes the new Find S mod and the existing tank the UForce T2.
We have reviewed the UForce T2 tank as it was included in the Drag Mini and Drag 2 kits – so have a read of those to see what we thought!

However just to cover the main tank features – it is a sub ohm tank which can use a wide range of Voopoo coils (plus the Fireluke Mesh and Twister coils!).

Also as you can see above there are a wide range of glass options too. The 2ml glass only is supplied in kits destined for the EU TPD controlled regions though! But you can of course change it at a later date!

Moving on to the Find S Mod…

This has an internal 4400mAh battery and will output up to 120W.

As with other Voopoo mods you get the GENE.Fit chip inside which promises a super fast 0.01s firing time!

The specs do not state what user modes you get apart from the FIT mode – this has 3 settings you can choose from when used with the UForce tank and Voopoo coils…

• Fit 1 – this is the battery saving setting – to help preserve battery life.
• Fit 2 – this is the setting to get better flavour.
• Fit 3 – this setting is for the cloudz bro!

I am assuming you can also set the Wattage and as there are temperature limits specified there should be a temperature control setting too.

The design of the mod is to be comfortable and easy to carry. There is also a grip strap attached to the mod.

The Alpha Zip Kit By Voopoo Previewed

The Voopoo Alpha Zip Kit is part of a huge batch of new device releases from Voopoo.

The full kit comprises of the Alpha Zip mod and the Voopoo MAAT tank.

I have already written a preview for the MAAT tank – click here for details but as a brief update it is a sub ohm mesh coil tank.

The name MAAT stands for “Middle Adjustable Airflow Tank” and the tank uses the MT range of coils. The kit includes a single and dual mesh coil and a triple mesh coil should be available to buy separately.

Moving onto the Alpha Zip mod…

As per usual on Voopoo mods this uses the excellent GENE chip and this version is the GENE.FIT as seen in the Drag 2 and Drag Mini.

The maximum output is 180W and the mod apparently has a super quick 0.01s fire speed – which I can believe!

You will need 2×18650 batteries to power this which are not included in the kit.

The specs do not state what power modes you get, but there is Variable wattage and the specs do state temperature limits so this tells me there will be temperature control too.

As you can see the sides of the mod have different design metal panels which on screen look pretty classy!

There are 5 designs to choose from – Locomotive, Knight, Glory, Stars and Checkerboard.
